Economy

I came across this story on CNN.com. This is a story about our economy. It is about the growth of the Gross Domestic Product in the later part of 2009.

I was very excited to begin reading this story as our economy has been in such bad shape for such a long time. I was not here for the worst of it I was deployed to Afghanistan but I heard stories from home about high fuel prices and lay offs.

As I read on I grew even moe excited as I read that the word "Recovery" was used by the Federal Reserve.

I am happy to see the economy turning around.

IPAD

I came accross this story on CNN.com about the new Apple iPad. Apple Computers is releasing a new system called the iPad which essentially is an over grown Ipod Touch.

I was very excited about this article as I have been waiting for apple to release a tablet PC. " Extraordinary," "unbelievble," and "a dream says Steve Jobs

I was kind of let down by the fact that it was more like an iPod Touch than a tablet PC I was hoping for more of a graphics editing system.

In conclusion I guess I will wait and see one when they are released!

Arizona

I found this article on CNN.com talking about the weather in Arizona.

I was very shocked to hear about this. When I think of Arizona I think warm climates and really wouldnt expect to hear about snow there.

I feel sad for the people that were stuck in the snow. I hate snow and I can't imagine not being able to go anywhere or get supplies.

Don't eat yellow snow no matter how hungry you are!

U.S. to pull out of Iraq!

United states begins to pull troops from Iraq.
The goal is to withdraw all U.S. troops from Iraq by the end of next year. Most Marines were present in the Anbar province in the western part of the country and have maintained a presence there since 2003. The invading Marines were not very well equipped for the initial invasion as they lacked heavily armored vehicles. The residents of Anbar are eager to see the Marines go however they are demanding that the Iraqi army be given arms and equipment to continue to protect and defend themselves. Nearly 3500 American troops have lost their lives during Operation Iraqi Freedom or OIF.
