United states begins to pull troops from Iraq.
The goal is to withdraw all U.S. troops from Iraq by the end of next year. Most Marines were present in the Anbar province in the western part of the country and have maintained a presence there since 2003. The invading Marines were not very well equipped for the initial invasion as they lacked heavily armored vehicles. The residents of Anbar are eager to see the Marines go however they are demanding that the Iraqi army be given arms and equipment to continue to protect and defend themselves. Nearly 3500 American troops have lost their lives during Operation Iraqi Freedom or OIF.

Are you excited by this? This is a very controversial issue, I see both sides. I was born and raised overseas;I know the people. I have family and friends in the US military who are over seas and some who are no longer. It is heart pulling to think that our troops might be on their way home, away from harms way. On the other hand I realize that the local people there don't want to be left alone for enemy to steal,kill, and destroy. Taking advantage of their inadequacies of being equipped with the right tools to fight and stand up for themselves. Meaning in government and in arms. They are scared. I am scared, for my family in the military and for friends that live there. I do think if we are to have our troops there, they should be properly equipped has well. What the hell! When it is snowing, do we go outside without a jacket? No, of course not. So why have our men and woman in the military go into a situation when they don't have the necessary equipment?

I'm not going to debate politics. Right or wrong we are over there. However, according to the course outline we are to comment on your writing not the acticle its self. Your summary is fine, it does lack the other 3 elements we are suppose use.
